At Denby Free we aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all pupils, including the most able, those with special educational needs and for children for whom English is an additional language.

Our curriculum covers the requirements of the National Curriculum through exciting topics which offer all pupils an engaging and stimulating learning experience. 

For each termly or half termly topic there is a history, geography or science focus. Some subjects such as english, art and design technology are linked when they can. Other subjects such as  mathematics, computing, music, RE, french (KS2) and physical education are taught discretely unless there are obvious connections to the overall class topic.
