Admissions
Admissions
Thank you for considering our school for your child. Our school admissions are coordinated by Derbyshire County Council.
The Governing Body of Denby Free CE VA Primary School applies the regulations on admissions fairly and equally to all those who wish to attend this school.
If your child is starting school for the first time there is one intake for the Reception group at the start of the Autumn term in September. The Local Education Authority (Derbyshire County Council) is required to co-ordinate admissions to all Derbyshire Primary, Infant and Junior Schools. Parents are able to express a preference to one, two or three schools and to place those preferences in rank order. Parents must make their applications on a common application form, to be returned directly to Derbyshire County Council, and give reasons for their preferred schools.
Denby Free School participates in the Local Authority's Co-ordinated scheme Admission Scheme for in-year applications. Details of the Co-ordinated Admission scheme and how in-year applications are managed can be seen at Apply for a school place - Derbyshire County Council.
Online admissions can be made using the link below.
