Reading Books

We encourage the children to become more independent in KS1 such as changing their own reading book. This takes time and prompting so please bear with us until the children are used to this. It may mean your child forgets to change their book or brings home a book they’ve had previously, if this is the case, please just let us know and we will support them in sorting this. The children will have opportunity to change their ‘choosing/sharing’ books whenever they need to, and our Friday parent reading mornings are a great opportunity for you to support your child in doing this. Please remember these books are for you to share with your child and are led by their interests not their phonic level.

Little Wandle phonics books will be given out, by class teachers, every Wednesday and collected in on a Monday.
