Welcome

Denby Free CE VA Primary School is a happy, creative and caring school which was judged outstanding in our last Church of England inspection (SIAMS) The education and the pastoral care of our children are at the forefront of our daily life.

At Denby Free School, our Christian Values are at the centre of everything we do. Please follow the link below to our Collective Worship page to find out more.

We provide a high quality of education and care for all of our children which helps them reach their potential and prepares them for the next stage in their education and for their future lives. We develop an enthusiasm and love for learning through a creative curriculum that encompasses fun and engaging experiences which include everyone. We value all the aspects of our children's personalities and celebrate their individuality.

Denby Free serves children from the school year in which they are five years old, up to age eleven. This year the school has a pupil roll of 129 children which is organised into five classes-

Sparrows (YR/Y1), Doves (Y1/Y2), Owls (Y3/Y4), Falcons (Y4/Y5), and Eagles (Y6)

We have one school rule of Respect - ourselves, each other and our environment. We encourage all our children to Imagine, Believe, Achieve and Shine.

We offer an in- house Breakfast club and a variety of after school clubs that are run by staff members and our sports coach.

We encourage parents to become part of the family of our school by helping during school time, getting involved with our PTA 'The Friends of Denby Free' or helping with practical Ground Force events.

We are very proud of our school and warmly welcome anyone wishing to visit us to see some of the exciting learning opportunities that we offer, our fantastic children and dedicated staff team. Anyone wishing to arrange a visit can do so by contacting Mrs Derbyshire or Miss Spencer in the school office.
