Denby Free Early Birds Breakfast Club

Breakfast club runs from 7.30 am every morning and then the children are taken to their classes at the start of the day. Breakfast is served from 7.30 am to 8.30 am. We provide a variety of healthy breakfast choices and dietary needs are taken into account where required.

Our aim for Breakfast club is to provide a positive and friendly environment by offering activities including crafts and games in a relaxed environment, helping children to be prepared to start the school day.

The cost for Breakfast club is £6.50 per child per session.

Bookings can be made ( subject to availability) as late as 1pm on the day before the morning session.

If you have an emergency and need to use breakfast club at short notice, please call the breakfast club mobile after 7am on 07565379012. Please do not turn up if you have not spoken to someone to confirm that a space is available.

The Nest - Denby Free's After School Club

The Nest runs from 3:25 pm until 6pm Monday - Friday. There are 2 sessions that you can choose from:

• Session 1 runs from 3:25 - 5 pm and costs £9.00
• Session 2 runs from 3:25 - 6 pm and costs £12.00

Please note that a ten minute grace period will be given to parents who are late collecting their child/ren. After this extra charges will apply. Full details can be found in the Extended Services Policy.

Children attending The Nest will be offered a light tea consisting of sandwiches, a healthy snack and a drink. They will have a variety of activities to choose from, from games, crafts, homework support or simply relaxing with a book or some colouring.

Places at The Nest are limited so we encourage parents to make bookings in advance where possible, and no later that 1 pm the day before the session is required. Bookings can be made by phone or email.

Before your child can attend Early Birds or The Nest, you will need to complete a registration form, available from the school office, or you can download a copy at the bottom of this page.

Paying for Wraparound Childcare Sessions

Payments are collected via ParentPay. Please pay for any Early Bird or Nest sessions in advance. 

Denby Free is signed up to the Tax Free Childcare scheme Tax-Free Childcare: What Tax-Free Childcare is - GOV.UK and parents are encouraged to use this platform to benefit from a 20% discount on wraparound sessions.

After School Care from External Providers

Denby Free also has strong links with Koala club to assist parents with wrap around child care and holiday care.
