The emotional wellbeing of our children is just as important as their physical health. Good mental health allows children and young people to develop the resilience to cope with whatever life throws at them and grow into well-rounded, healthy adults.
It is Children's Mental Health Week this week with the theme being to 'express yourself'. By talking openly about mental health from a young age, children can learn to better understand their emotions and feel safe enough to reach out for help when it's needed.
Talking about mental health and expressing our feelings can be difficult, no matter our age. In the current lockdown situation, it is more important than ever to share how we are feeling with others.
