Do you remember all the beautiful rainbows that people displayed in their windows during the first lockdown? Wasn't it fantastic to see signs of hope all around you?
Well, BBC Radio Derby have had an idea to start a new trend this lockdown: putting a daffodil in your window. The aim is to spread positivity. Daffodils are strong, resilient flowers, which is what we need to be at the moment. They are also so sunny and bright, that they can't help but raise a smile!
Can you get really creative and make a daffodil for your window? It can be made from whatever you like: cardboard, tissue paper, plastic, felt, wood...whatever you fancy! You could paint it, draw it or even design it on the computer. It can be big, small or take over your whole window! There's some inspiration in the gallery below.
It will be so lovely to see all the beautiful daffodils in your windows, spreading positivity throughout our community. Send your photos to chunt@denbyfree.org.uk by Monday 18th January.
So excited to see what you make!
