Good morning again Eagles! We hope you have had a good weekend. We bet lots of you put your Christmas decorations up this weekend? As tomorrow is the 1st of December we think it's ok to start talking all things Christmas now...don't you agree?
As we prepare to return to school on Thursday, you will notice your home learning timetable is a little bit different this week. This is because we have some exciting things happening on Thursday and Friday so we will need to be flexible to fit everything in!
So, first things first, Maths this week moves onto 'Order of operations', 'Mental calculations' and 'Reasoning from known facts'. Follow the link through to find your videos and worksheets and as always, an extra challenge for the warriors amongst you!
In Literacy we are returning to PHB as our focus for writing. You have two short writing tasks to complete where you will be delving into the relationship Cameron has with his parents and also imagining how Cameron is feeling leading up to his operation. Wednesday is our spelling focus day as usual.
Our science learning this week involves researching information about blood groups and we are going to try to conduct a class survey!
RE has moved back to Thursday because this is the week Reverend Martin is joining us on Teams to (try!) to answer some of the great questions you have sent him about Creation and Science. If you have any last questions that you want to add, email them to us at email@example.com asap. Maybe talk to your grown - ups about what we have been learning and see if they have any great questions they want to ask?
Afternoon sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday will be Music and French and we would like you to continue listening to our class book on the guided reading page and answer the comprehension questions that go with it.
We are also setting you a creative challenge this week to make an lantern that we can use in our Advent Services to create a beautiful candlelit atmosphere - we know you are a creative bunch and we can't wait to see what you come up with!
As always, do get in touch if you have any queries about your learning or if you just want to say Hello! Maybe send us some photos of your Christmas trees - we'd love to see them! We have really missed you and look forward to seeing you all on Thursday :-)
