Maths
For your Maths starter we would like you to look at Week 3, Day 2 of the 'Fluent in 5' booklet above. These tasks are aimed at refreshing skills you have been taught throughout the year so that you remain fluent in them. You can print the pages out or just do them in your home learning book/a piece of paper.
In our main Maths lesson today, we are continuing our work with fractions looking at multiplying fractions by fractions. As always, watch the video first (remember to have a pen/paper/whiteboard handy tor the mini - tasks). You can record your answers to the worksheet/challenge on paper and photograph it for us or on a word document that you can attach to an email. Please use the answer sheet to mark your own work and make any corrections. If you email your work to us on the same day it is set, we will be able to give you some specific feedback on any mistakes you made to make sure you understand the concepts now. If you email it later than that, we would still love to see it and we can give you some general/whole class feedback.
N.B. Task time in Maths usually takes about 30 minutes so if you have some time remaining after you have done the core work, have a go at the challenge!

Literacy
Today we will be writing the dilemma section to our Greek myth. Remember this is the section of the story where the main problem for the hero happens. Make sure you look back at your story board plan to remind you about the dilemma.
Just a reminder about paragraphs before you begin. Within your dilemma section ( just as in the opening and build up) there should be paragraphs. Can you remember when to start a new paragraph? In year 6 we use a method called TiPToP us remember. Look at the PowerPoint below to help you.
Now you may write your dilemma section. Please focus on the correct use of paragraphs. After you have completed this read your work aloud to an adult and check it makes sense.
Science
Today we are looking at 'Smoking' as the final part of our 'Circulation topic'.
Please read the information on the Powerpoint and then (if you are able to) print off the activity to match up the effects of smoking on different parts of the body. If you don't have access to a printer, make a poster showing the effects of smoking on the body.
