Maths
For your Maths starter we would like you to look at Week 3, Day 4 of the 'Fluent in 5' booklet above. These tasks are aimed at refreshing skills you have been taught throughout the year so that you remain fluent in them. You can print the pages out or just do them in your home learning book/a piece of paper.
In our main Maths lesson today, we are continuing our work on dividing fractions by integers - part 2!
Watch the video first (remember to have a pen/paper/whiteboard handy tor the mini - tasks). You can record your answers to the worksheet/challenge on paper and photograph it for us or on a word document that you can attach to an email. Please use the answer sheet to mark your own work and make any corrections. If you email your work to us on the same day it is set, we will be able to give you some specific feedback on any mistakes you made to make sure you understand the concepts now. If you email it later than that, we would still love to see it and we can give you some general/whole class feedback.
N.B. Task time in Maths usually takes about 30 minutes so if you have some time remaining after you have done the core work, have a go at the challenge!

Literacy
In today's lesson we will be writing the events section of our Greek myth. This is the section of the story were the hero tries to solve the problem but he has a few issues doing so. Maybe he has to call for help from someone or something?
Before you begin reread the dilemma section your wrote on Tuesday. Can you use your purple pen to edit and improve your work in any way? Think about spellings, punctuation and paragraphs.
When you are writing the events section I would like you to think carefully about your spellings. Below is a list of the statutory year 5/6 spelling which you have a copy of in your Literacy book at school. When writing today please select four of these words to include in your writing, ensuring you spell them correctly. Can you highlight these words so that I can easily see them when you send me your work.
Extension: Can you include any of your spelling words from last week or this week in your writing today?
Good luck with the events sections today. 😀
