Here are my answers to today's questions:
Q1) I think this chapter is called the round up because lots of kids get rounded up and put on the train to Devon.
Q2) It means to try and keep them happy.
Q3) Olive was happy to be going to live with Queenie because she might be able to find out something of Sukie's disappearance, to find out whether she has a boyfriend or not and to live somewhere else for a change.
Q4) Olive's new teacher will be called Mr Barrowman.
Q5) I think the phrase is 'I wasn't sure if I was capable of looking after myself, but I nodded wretchedly.'
Q6) My impression of Esther Jenkins is that she is quite cheeky normally and she gets into a lot of mischief. This is because at one point she switched name tags with her friends to confuse everyone.
