Good morning Falcons, happy Friday!
I hope you've had a great week at home.  Here's today's work:

Numeracy
We've now come to the end of our multiplication and division topic.  We're finishing by looking at multiples of 10, 100 and 1000.  Hopefully you can all recall what multiples are!
Watch the video below and then have a go at the activity sheets and then if you want to extend your learning, then have a go at the mastery questions too.

Literacy
I hope you've all been enjoying the book, quite a few of you have told me you do and we're enjoying it in school too.  Today we're going to read the remainder of chapter one.  Listen to the whole chapter again or start from where we left it yesterday.  After you've listened, have a go at the comprehension questions below and even the extension task  if you fancy it!

P.E
We have P.E on Friday afternoons at the moment, but I appreciate it is a little tricky for you to do the same things at home.  I have attached a document that has lots of ideas for P.E activities at home.  There are KS2, KS1 and EYFS ones, so see if one of the KS2 ones appeals to you or work your way down the list.  If you'd rather go for a walk or do something else activity with your family or in your garden, then do that instead.  But do try to get that heart pumping!

Good morning lovely Falcons!  Hope you are all ok.  Here's today's work:

Numeracy
Lots of you seemed to find yesterday's work easy (I was easing you into the new year gently!) so today it will be a little more challenging.  We're doing the opposite today and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000.  Watch the video and then if you are year 4, or you're finding it difficult, have a go at the first sheet and if you want more of a challenge, have a go at one of the reasoning and problem solving sheets.

YEAR 5 REASONING AND PROBLEM SOLVING
Literacy
It was lovely to hear that lots of you enjoyed starting The Wind in the Willows yesterday.  There was definitely some confusion as to what a river bank is, we had to discuss it in school too, but hopefully you all know now!
Today we are going to read a little more and meet Rat!  Listen to the story from 5:06 to 17:29 and then have a go at the work below.

Science
Today we're going to start a new science topic: sound.
Watch the two videos below and then read through the information.  Finally, have a go at the suggested task.

Well, we find ourselves here again, home learning!  I know you will all do a fantastic job at home and please know that I'm always here to help.

Our spring term topic is called 'Watery World' where we will explore lots of different forms of water and our class novel is the classic tale: The Wind in the Willows.  I am so excited to get into everything!

Each day I will set you numeracy, literacy and another subject which we would be doing in the afternoon.  Have a go at everything and try your best.  Also, make sure you're still using TTRS and Spelling Shed as much as you can, I will continue to keep updating them.

Numeracy
We are still working on multiplication and division.  Today we will be looking at multiplying by 10, 100 and 1000.  When might you use that in daily life?
Watch the video link below and then have a go at the worksheets.

Literacy
We are about to begin the classic text The Wind in the Willows together.  It's a tale you may know, but I know we are going to enjoy really diving into the story together.  I would like you to have a go at the two tasks below BEFORE you start the book to gather your knowledge and assumptions.

TASK ONE
Then read the first part of chapter one below.  You can also listen using the link below, if you do, then stop the reading at 5:06 minutes, as we are not reading the whole of chapter one.  Then complete the work below on Mole.

TASK TWO
Topic
As I mentioned before, our new topic is called Watery World.  We are going to explore rivers, oceans and beyond in it!
Today we are starting by thinking about where our water comes from.
Read through the information below and then watch the video on the water cycle.

Afterwards, have a go at the sheet below (choose your challenge level) or why not have a go at making a model water cycle?  If you search on pinterest, there are lots of ideas!

Have a fabulous day.
