This week we have been learning about the Stone Age. We were concentrating on the first ever drawing which was obviously in the Stone Age. We even had a go at reproducing them, so have a look at our pictures below. We have also been looking at a book in literacy called Here We Are. We have been writing our own class equality charter, poems and have even written to Boris Johnson! We'll let you know if we get a reply! In numeracy, we've been learning about place value and today we had a go at some problems involving guessing the number. This week we were also invited to play some brand new playground games with Mrs Kirby. We had loads of fun learning how to work in a team and follow commands! Have a look at our photos below. We've also had a go at some athletics activities with Miss Whiteman in P.E. We recorded how many laps we could run and how far we could throw a ball using a chest push. It's been a great week! by Isabella and Honey. Welcome back everyone! The children have made a fantastic start to the year and we've been busy creating some incredible artwork to brighten up the classroom and put our individual stamp on it. We created modern portraits by tracing photos of ourselves on acetate and colouring different features in with acrylic pens before layering them over a painted background. Have a look at the finished results below, we think they look incredible! We've also been making our reflection corner look beautiful too, again using acetate and tracing some Christian stained glass window designs. We've also had our first victory of the year as we won Mrs Bell's box of games for being the most respectful and kind class at lunchtimes: well done us! A brilliant start to the year. Miss Hunt x |
