Welcome to Eagles class home page. Obviously things are a little different this year! Not only can we not safely invite you into school but there is still much uncertainty about many of the things we would normally discuss with you e.g. SATS, Residential trips etc. We will be using this page to post information about our routines in Eagles Class as well as any new information throughout the term as and when we have it. It will also be the page where home learning is signposted in the event of our bubble closing or a whole school closure.
Homework is given out on Thursdays in class and is to be handed in on the following Tuesday. Termly overviews of spellings and ideas to practise them will be posted below each term.
Please do always get in touch via the home learning email address if there is anything you are not sure of or if you would like further help with any aspect of your child's learning - we are always happy to help. Mrs Melton and Miss Herrett

Reading in Year 6 is very important. Being a fluent reader will really give the children an advantage as they prepare for their SATS in May. However, just as importantly, we aim to foster a real love of reading in all our children. The '100 books' list opposite is useful to gauge the level of text we would expect Y6 children to be reading. Of course, all children develop at different rates and we have a range of books in class to suit all reading abilities. Children should aim to read for at least 20 minutes a day and, whenever possible, should try to read to an adult (even just for 5 minutes) three times a week.
