We were all sad not to be able to celebrate Harvest in the usual way this year but in Eagles class we still marked the occasion with reflection, gratitude and lots of fun!
As part of our celebrations this year, all the classes researched how Harvest is celebrated around the world and by different cultures and religions. In Eagles we chose to research the Hindu festival of colour known as Holi. The children learnt lots about the origins of the festival and the modern day celebrations that take place in different Hindu communities across the world including throwing paint at each other which sounded a lot of fun!
The children used pizza as an example and costed their favourite choice of pizza in airmiles. The results were both surprising and shocking!
