It's been another 'different' day here at Denby Free.
The Denby Daily Dilemma got us all thinking again. Would you rather have fingers as long as your arms or arms as long as your fingers? Even some staff had to really get their head around it!
There were some fabulous answers:
'Fingers as long as my arms so that I could reach further distances and if it was the other way around then I couldn't write or turn a page of a book. Also, if I had fingers as long as my arms then I wouldn't need a selfie stick!' Deniz, Eagles
'Arms as long as my fingers because if it was the other way around then my fingers would be dragging on the floor.' Amelia, Eagles.
'If you had arms as long as your fingers then you wouldn't be able to play tag.' Seth, Eagles.
Whilst Swifts thought that they'd like to have fingers as long as their arms so that they could sneak biscuits out of the tin without their mums knowing!!!
It was Mrs Foulke's turn to be 'different.' She looked as though she had visited from a whole different decade! There were some very positive comments from the children such as: 'she looks very funky!'
Also, the Swifts treated us to a fabulous celebration of their own differences. They performed a wonderful song and also brought a magical mirror with them which told us who was the best at diving, being a rockstar etc! It was so brilliant to hear about their different talents.
Finally, in Owl class we have been celebrating differences by doing a little bit of experimenting! She the results below...
